Some collaborations tweak a colorway and call it a day. This one trades the pavement for the trail. Diemme and Clarks Originals have joined forces on a three-piece footwear collection that gives three of Clarks' best-known silhouettes, the Wallabee, the Desert Boot and the Desert Trek, a serious dose of alpine hardware.
Made by Diemme in Italy, the collection keeps each Clarks shape easy to recognize while bringing in components from the Italian label's own hiking line. The result is a set of familiar profiles that now look ready for the mountain.
The biggest shift is underfoot. All three styles swap their usual soles for Diemme's signature lug unit, a tread taken from two of the brand's best-known boots, the Roccia Vet and the Cornaro. The upgrade gives the Clarks lasts deeper grip and a chunkier, more planted stance than the originals ever had.
Higher up, authentic hiking D-rings replace the standard lacing, a functional nod to technical mountain footwear. A protective rubber mudguard is also part of the build.
