Following S’YTE x MOONSTAR’s collaboration, WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto and MOONSTAR also come together for their first collaboratio – reworking the Japanese footwear maker’s long-running GYM CLASSIC through WILDSIDE’s signature black palette. Based on a training shoe originally produced in the 1960s, the low-top is offered in a single Black colorway, built from durable cotton canvas and finished with a fully blacked-out rubber sole and toe guard.
The monochrome base is broken up by pale cream piping running alongside the eyestays and matching contrast stitching around the panels, giving the otherwise restrained upper a sharper graphic quality. Matte black metal eyelets maintain the subdued finish, while the sneaker is styled with both black and off-white laces, allowing the contrast detailing to read either more subtly or more prominently. A curved WILDSIDE logo is embroidered near the lateral heel, with additional branding appearing along the rear rubber foxing.
