We just got one step closer to new Snoh Aalegra music. On October 8th, the Swedish singer previewed her track, “Run Free,” on her social media pages, giving fans their first taste of her upcoming project, A Legendary Love. The anticipated album will be Snoh’s first full-length project since 2021’s Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies.

“Run Free” is yet another addition to Snoh’s long list of timeless ballads, and her first new music since 2023, with this song particularly fitting as the soundtrack to the end of a coming-of-age film. The Prince and 80s pop influence is apparent in the song’s exquisite production, as in typical Snoh Aalegra fashion, she fuses classic soul with modern textures, creating a cinematic, soulful soundscape of love, heartbreak, and introspection.

In the song’s grainy, minimalistic music video directed by Alfred Marroquin, Snoh sings “Trouble before me, I can’t see. My love is forever, here I see / Falling in and out of my mind, don’t ever see it through / I know it won’t change anything, but I wanted to / I used to see, I used to see two hearts run free,” as she cruises through winding, desolate, tree-lined streets in the back of a vintage BMW.

With “Run Free” being her first song since 2023, fans are patiently waiting, finding a pixelated album cover and teasers on her website, alegendarylove.com. The official release date for “Run Free” and A Legendary Love has not been announced yet.
