Prada is bringing the magic of traditional animation into the holiday season with its Holiday 2026 campaign, titled “Drawing Prada.” Blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination, the campaign transforms the House's festive narrative into a series of whimsical, hand-illustrated worlds that evoke the charm of classic Hollywood cinema and childhood storybooks.

Under the creative direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the project celebrates the art of storytelling through an intentionally nostalgic medium, placing hand-drawn animation at the center of its visual identity. Leading the creative process is legendary animator John Pomeroy, whose decades-long career has helped shape some of cinema's most recognizable animated productions at studios such as Disney. His team of artists brings fantastical winter landscapes and playful animal characters to life, reinforcing the campaign's emphasis on craftsmanship, human expression and the enduring appeal of stories passed between generations.

The campaign features an ensemble of rising and established acting talent, including Chen Haoyu, Luther Ford, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink. Each appears within an imaginative setting where live-action photography merges with illustrated scenery, creating dreamlike compositions that feel suspended between a cinematic frame and a hand-painted storybook. Shot by Glen Luchford, the campaign carefully aligns lighting and perspective with the surrounding illustrations, allowing the real and imagined elements to coexist within the same visual space.

Across a series of still images and short footage, the cast encounters whimsical wintertime scenes and fantastical environments, where the contrast between contemporary figures and traditional animation lends the imagery a distinctly surreal quality. The result is a playful interpretation of the holiday season that draws on the warmth of familiar festive imagery while celebrating the artistry behind its creation.
