Balenciaga unveils its 2026 Skiwear Collection under Pierpaolo Piccioli.Technical outerwear, oversized footwear and winterized bags combine alpine performance with luxury design. The campaign features surreal indoor snowfall across Parisian interiors, highlighting the collection's versatility.
Snow-covered slopes meet Parisian interiors in Balenciaga's latest Skiwear campaign, where the boundaries between alpine performance and urban luxury are deliberately blurred. Designed by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, the House's 2026 Skiwear Collection reimagines winter dressing through high-performance materials, exaggerated silhouettes and a distinctly fashion-forward sensibility.
The collection spans technical outerwear, insulated separates and versatile layering pieces for men and women, balancing functional construction with Balenciaga's distinctive proportions. High-collar parkas, reversible blousons, cropped puffers and stola jackets form the foundation of the lineup, complemented by snow pants crafted from techno cotton and nylon. Hand-drawn prints inspired by mountain animal hides and faux-fur textures introduce a more expressive dimension, appearing in high-visibility hues that contrast with the collection's streamlined silhouettes.
Functional details are integrated into the visual language of the garments, from reflective Balenciaga graphics to branded pull tabs attached to zippers. Beyond the slopes, lined denim, knitwear, tracksuits and jersey essentials offer a more relaxed approach to winter dressing, allowing the technical pieces to transition into everyday wardrobes without compromising their protective qualities.
Accessories further extend the collection's alpine-inspired aesthetic, with familiar Balenciaga designs receiving winter-ready material treatments. The Le City, Le 7, Rodeo and Le City Backpack are reinterpreted in merino shearling, waxed suede, vintage goat and Arena lamb, offered in seasonal shades including polar blue, storm grey, optic white, rose quartz, light espresso and caramel.
Footwear takes on an equally exaggerated character, led by the oversized Alaska boots and flatform mules, alongside winterized Combat Strike and nubuck-Nappa Arctic styles featuring sturdy nylon laces and chunky treaded soles. Ski masks in black and mirrored pink, snow-glare-blocking sunglasses, gloves, scarves, earmuffs and headwear complete the assortment, including a cotton canvas cap with buckled ear flaps. The Balenciaga Skiwear Collection is now available through select Balenciaga stores worldwide and the brand's official website.
