New Era and URBAN RESEARCH DOORS have teamed up on an exclusive 9THIRTY cap for Fall/Winter 2026, trading the usual cotton twill for fine-wale corduroy. It is the newest release in a New Era exclusive line that the Japanese label brings back each season, and this one leans on fabric and texture rather than graphics.
The material carries the design. The crown and visor are made from 100 percent cotton corduroy with a tight, narrow wale, so the ribbing sits flat and reads closer to a refined texture than a rugged one. The pile has a soft sheen that catches the light, which gives the cap more depth than a matte fabric and more warmth for colder months. The embroidery uses polyester thread.
Underneath is the 9THIRTY, New Era's unstructured-feel dad cap block. The DOORS version keeps its shallow crown and pre-curved brim, a lower, rounder shape that sits closer to the head than New Era's taller fitted profiles. The pattern is the familiar one. The fabric is what changes the character of the cap.
The cap comes in one size, fitting head circumferences from 55 to 58 centimeters, with a 14-centimeter crown height and a seven-centimeter brim. The three colorways are black, brown and navy, all muted tones that suit the seasonal fabric and work equally well with casual layers or tailored outerwear.
