Studio Nicholson has marked its Beijing debut with a new flagship store in Taikoo Li Sanlitun, one of the city’s premier luxury destinations. Following the brand’s Shanghai opening earlier in 2026, the Beijing space continues Studio Nicholson’s international expansion, joining existing locations in London, Tokyo, Kyoto and Seoul.
Envisioned by founder and creative director Nick Wakeman, the 158-square-metre flagship reflects the brand’s gallery-meets-residential concept, blending architecture, product and customer experience into a cohesive environment. Grounded in local context, the architecture draws subtle inspiration from ancient Chinese courtyards and imperial motifs, encouraging visitors to slow down and explore the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 men’s, women’s, and unisex collections room by room.
Upon entry over black slate tiles, guests are greeted by a striking four-meter travertine central table paired with dark walnut Pierre Jeanneret Chandigarh chairs, surrounded by polished stainless steel clothing rails. The space seamlessly transitions into an intimate accessories lounge at the rear, furnished with a Hans J. Wegner daybed, soft neutral rugs, and a selection of books curated by Wakeman.
