Rier's Spring 2027 Collection Builds an Alpine Wardrobe From Natural Wool, Linen, Silk, and a Fourth Salomon Collaboration

Rier's Spring 2027 collection presents its most expansive material program to date, spanning 100% natural wool fleece, Austrian and Italian-sourced linen, 100% cotton fine-rib jersey, and multiple silk constructions, anchored by a fourth collaborative footwear chapter with Salomon and a returning jewellery partnership with Zoé Mohm. The collection is showing at the brand's Paris showroom from June 24 to June 30.

Rier's signature 100% natural wool fleece returns in a reworked high-neck pullover with a less cropped, boxier volume, a vertical zipped chest pocket, an adjustable hem, and a single-shoulder construction designed for spring layering. The outerwear story expands through waxed cotton, with a new Field jacket built on a subtly oversized cut and fitted with a workwear collar, zipped chest pockets, generous cargo pockets, side pockets, and internal chest pockets, available in asphalt grey and tree-bark brown. An unlined fine cotton Duster coat in Nebula blue completes the outerwear program, constructed with dropped shoulders, a single-breasted closure, a thin notched lapel, tone-on-tone corozo buttons, a chest welt pocket, wide patch pockets, and buttoned cuffs.

Sourced in Austria and Italy, the season's 100% natural linen program is developed across three distinct fabric aesthetics: a natural linen toile in dust and tourbe, a black chintz linen with a muted sheen, and a faded check printed version with a speckled weave. Across these three fabrics, Rier builds suits, shirts, dresses, skirts, and tops in mismatched pairings. The Natural Linen Blazer is subtly oversized with a pronounced sharp shoulder, a flap pocket on the chest, a fully unlined interior, and multiple utilitarian interior pockets.

The silk program is built around black saglione, a 100% silk fabric with a rich twill weave and satin sheen. The Silk Saglione Dress takes its structure from a dolman-sleeve maxi silhouette pressed into maxi check pleats, drawing from Tyrolean 1890s proportions, with pleated shoulders, a high-cut bustline, and raw-edged trims. The same saglione fabric carries across skirts, tops, a shirt, and high-waisted tailored trousers. A separate 100% silk picnic check, woven exclusively for Rier in Italy in a historical poppy and white contrast, is applied to a cropped Tyrolean-inspired top, a straight midi jupon, and a fringed foulard. A Rose jacquard minidress in compact silk, drawing from ancient Tyrolean silk aprons, features a square neckline with spaghetti straps. The Patchwork Linen Silk Skirt combines faded printed check linen with saglione silk side panels, finished with an elastic ajour and raw zig-zag stitching.

Three new shapes are produced in 100% cotton fine-rib jersey, made in Italy and exclusively dyed in natural off-white, dusty earth grey, poppy red, geranium pink, and asphalt: a long-sleeved boat-neck t-shirt with a loose boxy cut, a raglan-sleeve crewneck tee with a slim cut, and an elongated tank top that also functions as a minidress. Fine-rib jersey construction offers high moisture absorption, making it a functional base layer for outdoor activities. The brand's corduroy chinos are reworked for spring in a 95% cotton and 5% cashmere blend, built on a mid-rise cut with large belt loops, chino pockets, a straight leg, a pointed flap back pocket, and a half-lined leg. Fine cotton hiking trousers complete the bottoms program, fitted with an elastic waistband, reinforced knee patches, side and back pockets, and adjustable hem strings.

The fourth iteration of the Rier x Salomon collaboration centers on the XA Jungle high tactical boot and the XA PRO 3D, both produced as a limited edition in the collection's Nebula blue. The XA PRO 3D features a narrow elongated footbed, water drain holes, rope climbing features, toe protection, Salomon's ultra-resistant Chassis® endurance sole, and a fast lace system. Both styles carry reinforced stitching, mesh, laces, and outsole construction, alongside climbing reinforcements, protective toe caps, strategic drainage holes, and minimal padding for fast drying. Both are distributed through Rier's fashion network rather than the standard workwear channels where these models typically sit. The ongoing Ludwig Reiter collaboration, running since 2022, introduces new colorways on the Farmer rain boot's caoutchouc neoprene-lined base in low and high variations, plus a new waxed cotton version with utilitarian strings.

New for Spring 2027, the Lederwerk line introduces Rier's first exclusive leather footwear range, manufactured in Northern Italy across four silhouettes. The knotted hiking sandals are built in supple goat leather in black, ebony, and white, with a tubular t-strap construction joined by hiking knots. The square-toe Moulded Mule comes in smooth calf leather in black or grained goat leather in ebony and black. The Laced Slipper is moulded in smooth calf and grained goat leather in black and ebony brown, with thin leather laces, an elastic back, and details drawn from the "Haferl-shoe" tradition. The Tyrolean Derby is constructed in spazzolato leather on a wooden heel, with a removable metal-studded decorative flap, eyelets, and festooned edges referencing ceremonial alpine footwear.

The Zoé Mohm jewellery program is constructed from locally sourced deer antlers, 100% sterling silver, and encrusted citrine stones, all fully handcrafted in Paris. Pieces include horn brooches in multiple shapes individually fitted with citrine stones set in sterling silver with geometric pendants; long silver leaf earrings with a geometric rhombus top, fine leaf forms, and a citrine stone pendant; sterling silver forms mimicking wild berry leaves, edelweiss flowers, bulls, and birds sculpted into earrings, brooches, and pins; a sterling silver, corozo nut, and citrine stone ring with a geometric pendant; and a horn necklace assembled from lacquered deer antler with a ceramic-like finish, geometric silver junctions, and a rhombus-shaped pendant. A new felted wool Tyrolean hat, produced by a family-run business in Northern Italy, debuts in anthracite melange, forest green, and fine dust sand, with the form developed and moulded specifically for Rier. A cotton and silk foulard in an archival jacquard, exclusively woven for Rier, combines a fine rose motif with a contrast geometrical check in butter, white, and black, finished with fringed edges.
