Summary
- Paris-based E@tudes Studio tapped artist Maia Ruth Lee for a collaborative capsule expanding on their 2026 Spring/Summer collection, Surroundings
- The lineup features a jacket, button up, pants, a silk scarf and tee, emblazoned with patterning inspired by Lee’s Bondage Baggage series
In the run-up to warmer months, Études Studio let loose a collaborative capsule with artist Maia Ruth Lee.
Keeping on the Land Art inspirations of their 2026 Spring/Summer collection, Surroundings, the new lineup reimagines Lee’s Bondage Baggage across a series of garments, each their own physical gesture of place and memory.
The collection centers the figure of the artist, and their wardrobe, in turn. Staples are reworked with outdoor utility at heart; silhouettes are engineered for motion. Soft, confident tailoring meets workwear tradition in an elegant, earthy lineup perfect for a busy studio day.
A look book shot by Peter Sutherland in Lee’s San Francisco studio, puts the pieces in motion. A handful of easy captures sees the artist donning a matching Hooded Jacket and Loose Pant set, for example, bundling and painting a cartographic composition, embedding her artistic research directly into the fabric.
