Alysa Liu Is Louis Vuitton's Newest House Ambassador

Summary

  • Louis Vuitton has named 2026 Winter Olympic double-gold medalist Alysa Liu as its latest House Ambassador
  • Liu recently made history as the first American in 24 years to win Olympic gold in women's figure skating
  • The partnership highlights her signature style and fearless energy, previously seen at the house's Fall/Winter 2026 show

Louis Vuitton has officially announced 20-year-old Olympic figure skating champion Alysa Liu as its newest House Ambassador. Following a historic run at the 2026 Winter Olympics where she secured two gold medals, Liu brings her dynamic energy and magnetic presence to the French luxury house.

On February 19, Liu etched her name into the history books, becoming the first American to win Olympic gold in women’s figure skating in 24 years. Beyond her technical mastery on the ice, her vibrant personality — often punctuated by her signature striped hair — resonates deeply with the audacious spirit of the modern Louis Vuitton Woman. Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women’s collections, noted that her "dynamic energy and individuality" inspire a fearless approach to creativity. “Alysa Liu embodies the modern Louis Vuitton Woman — confident, creative, and utterly fearless. Her dynamic energy and individuality resonate with the House’s spirit, and she inspires us all to embrace audacity in every form,” he said in a statement.

This natural synergy was already on full display earlier this year. At the Louis Vuitton Women's Fall/Winter 2026 show, Liu embodied the house's confident ethos, stepping out in a Brown Speedy Patch Denim jacket and jeans set, paired with the Squire East West handbag in Monogram canvas. She later brought an elevated edge to the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, wearing a black Louis Vuitton minidress intricately detailed with gunmetal pearls alongside black satin pumps.

"Stepping into this new chapter as a Louis Vuitton Ambassador is an honor and a privilege, especially for a figure skater to be recognized in this way, and I take so much pride in that. As a figure skater, I'm an athlete, I train hard, I skate fast, but when I'm performing, I want to show you how soft I can be," she said in a statement. "As a Louis Vuitton Ambassador, I get to show you my style, strength, and softness because I know that luxury is in the details, and the same goes for choreographing a program and designing a collection. Life is all about connection, and Louis Vuitton has made me feel included. It’s a really empowering feeling to be part of something so artistic.”
