Mixed martial artist Caol Uno, director of the technical apparel brand ONEHUNDRED ATHLETIC (100A), is curating the fifth installment of the JIU-JITSU GI ART EXHIBITION at the Fujii Daimaru department store in Kyoto. This unique exhibition focuses on the "Gi" - the traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uniform - treating it as a literal canvas for artistic expression.
The exhibition features a diverse merchandise lineup featuring original artwork from three primary collaborators: street culture artist face oka, symbolic animal motif specialist Koichiro Takagi and graphic artist Amane Murakami -- each reinterpreting 100A’s competition Gi model into wearable art. These designs extend beyond the mats, with limited-edition apparel and accessories that merge functionality with bold cultural expression.
Key pieces include "Artwork Dry" short-sleeve and long-sleeve training tops that bring the artists' unique visuals to the gym. Additionally, the pop-up shop includes high-profile collaborative items such as a heavyweight long-sleeve tee featuring illustrations by Tomoo Gokita for the HOLY SHIT label, a 100A gym backpack, and premium Gi pants crafted from specialized Kaihara Denim.
The merchandise for the exhibition is priced between approximately ¥4,950 - ¥28,600 JPY (approx. $31 - $179 USD). The JIU-JITSU GI ART EXHIBITION 5 will be held at the Fujii Daimaru 1F Free Space from April 1 -7, 2026, during regular store hours. For fans unable to attend the Kyoto event in person, a limited-time digital release will also be available through the Fujii Daimaru Online Shop.
