Engineered Garments and GU Reunite for Spring/Summer 2026 Collection

Summary

  • GU is teaming up with Engineered Garments for a second collaborative collection
  • The Spring/Summer 2026 lineup draws inspiration from 1950s American resort style through a modern lens
  • The six-piece capsule features lightweight materials and utilitarian details in key brown and indigo colorways

Engineered Garments and GU are back for their Spring/Summer 2026 collection. Centered around the theme of "New American Riviera," the second capsule offers a modern reinterpretation of 1950s American resort style. Designed by founder Daiki Suzuki, the lineup merges classic American workwear and military elements with a focus on comfort and playfulness.

The six-piece collection utilizes light, cool, and functional materials ideal for the warmer months. Standout pieces include the matching Cordlane Jacket and Cordlane Relaxed Pants, constructed from a ridged cordlane material designed to minimize skin contact. The jacket can be worn lightly like a shirt and features a voluminous back silhouette and cuffed sleeves, while the easy-fit pants utilize front tucks for a wide, straight cut.

Adding to the utilitarian aesthetic, the wide-silhouette Utility Shorts feature randomly placed pockets typical of the Engineered Garments brand. They are offered in an olive broadcloth or a midsummer-ready blue cotton dungaree. The Guayabera Shirt blends military-style patch pockets with classic touches like pintucks and mother of pearl-like cat-eye buttons, available in a semi-sheer lawn material or blue dungaree. Rounding out the capsule are sweat-wicking Dry Pique Crossed Neck T-shirts and a stretchy Dry Pique Polo Shirt equipped with snap buttons featuring the collaboration logo.

The Engineered Garments x GU Spring/Summer 2026 collection drops April 17 via GU stores and the brand's online store.
