Jah Jah Studio, the Parisian Afro-vegan restaurant and creative hub founded by Daquisiline Gomis and Coralie Jouhier, has officially unveiled its latest collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT. This Spring/Summer 2026 capsule marks the latest partnership between the two entities, fusing Gomis’ Pan-African vision with the Japanese label’s avant-garde shirting.
The collection consists of five distinctive shirts that reinterpret the classic CDG SHIRT silhouette through a diasporic lens. Drawing on Gomis’ West African roots and Rastafarian culture, the designs incorporate a vibrant palette of red, gold, and earthy greens. Standout pieces include a shirt embossed with the "Lion of Judah" to symbolize strength and courage, and another featuring a speaker illustration that nods to the studio's musical arm, the Jah Jah Sound System.
Construction details remain true to Rei Kawakubo’s playful design language while integrating specific cultural codes. One short-sleeve top features plaid patchwork lettering reading "CDG Shirt JAH," while another design is defined by oversized, plaid green sleeves. A particularly complex striped piece features "bursts" of plaid fabric arranged like blooming flowers, unfurling directly from the garment's structure. The Jah Jah x COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT collection is now available exclusively at Dover Street Market Paris, New York and Los Angeles.
